Machine and Samaritan

This TV series’ main idea is about an AI whose name is Machine detected the crimes which may happened in the future and let people on its side such as Finch and Reese go to stop those things before something terrible things happened.

But there comes the other AI being called Samaritan. Compared to the Machine, Samaritan has larger power to punish the people who may be the criminals. It can intervene the events by controlling internet or phone even the elections. Samaritan is really strong and tries hard to make the government to stand by its side, so the government give up to use the Machine but decided to make corporation with Samaritan. However, the most terrible thing is that the Samaritan is not as kind as the Machine. The Samaritan doesn’t have the code with ethics and morality in it “brain,” so it may be really terrible if one day that the Samaritan lost controlled. So, the Machine is tried hard to fight with it to prevent the bad things happened.

Unluckily, the Samaritan is too strong. It defeated the Machine and wanted to destroy it. By Finch, Root, Reese, Shaw and Fresco's hard working, they saved a DNA in the Machine but paid the price that Shaw was captured by the Samaritan. All in all, one day they will make a team again and come back to defeat the Samaritan.

The first story

This is the first story of the Person of Interest. In the picture we can see that Reese is really wan and sallow.

Just like I said before, Reese is the escapee. He ran away from the government because it wants he to die due to he know too much secreats and dark sides of the country. So Reese ran away and try to find his lover. But he then got a terrible news that his lover whose name is Jessica Arndt was died in an accident. 

Then Reese started to give up and stop bothering because he didn’t have any goal to be alive. At that moment, Finch found him in a park. He helped Reese to  walk back to the normal life and also gave him a job. Finch said “ I decided I would act to stop the crimes that the government considered it is irrelevant. But I needed a partner, someone with the skills to intervene”. So Finch makes a teem with Reese and then Reese begins his new life.

 

 

 

Lionel Fusco

Lionel Fusco is Carter’s partner in NYPD. He was a dirty cop in the HR. That is because his good friend who was a dirty cop one day killed someone in purpose and Fusco got there to see everything. He didn’t do anything due to he was really afraid and confuse whether he should arrest his best friend or be the one of them. However, the truth is that he was a coward. So he helped his best friends to destroy the evidences rather than report to the superiors in the office. From then on, he became the dirty cop.

He has a son and like most of parents in the world, he tried to give his son the best thing. So he was really regretted that he did those dirty things. One day, Finch found him and told him to help them defeated the bad guy including the HR, because he knew that Fusco was regretted. All in all, Fusco become the member of the Machine team and even defeated the HR in the end.

Maybe Fusco is seems to be a clown in whole series. But I think he was pretty a good man who has determination and experiences. He was always steady even after his partner--Carter died and also talks to Reese to let him out of the abandoning himself.

Name

Due to there was someone asked me that why the name of this TV series is “Person of Interest”, so I decided to introduce the main idea of this TV series.

First, the word “interest” has the mean that something or someone is paid attention.

Second, just like I said, there is an AI named the Machine, it can see everything by cameras, cell phones, computers and something else are made in technology. So, if there is something going to change, the Machine can find. For example, a woman always comes back to home before 9 p.m. every day but since one day she comes home later than 2 a.m. Then the Machine can find there is something changed on this woman by monitor on the street and it can go to check out that woman’s phone, email, computer to find the reason of the change. If the reason of those changes is connected to the murder or something terrible attacks, the Machine will send the Social Security number of that person to Finch. And it can say that woman is interested.

Third, it’s Finch’s job. When he gets the number by the Machine, he needs to investigate what may happen on that guy in the future because that person can be the victim or the perpetrator. So he needs a partner, a person who has can prevent the violence crime when he was investigating.

So it make the story is beginning.

This the world the Machine saw.

Sameen Shaw

Sameen Shaw was a doctor before. However, due to her personality, the director in the hospital said she wasn’t suitable to be a doctor. So Shaw went to join the government, to accept training and help them killed someone who may make their country go into dangerous. The origination she join is named North light, and in North light there was a “Research” which is the source to let them know who need to killed.

But in one mission, Shaw’s partner was be killed by the government because he tried to know the secret of “Research,” and Shaw was hunted by them too. At the same time, Reese and Finch tried hard to save Shaw and her partner. Shaw didn’t believe them at first and work hard to fight and break away from North light. However, North light still want to kill her. So Reese and Finch come to make a trick to let them believe that Shaw is died. After all this things happened, Shaw found that there is someone she can trust. But she didn’t accept Finch’s idea to be the member of the Machine and she leave.

However, she came back when Finch is in danger. And after she and Reese save Finch, she finally agreed with them and became the member of the Machine.

Root

Root is a high IQ computer hacker. In season 1&2, she is the bad guy who tried to catch Finch to know more about the Machine. Her real name is Samantha Groves, when she was a child; her best friend was kidnapped and killed. She saw the man who did those things but no one belief what she told. After she grew up, her punished that man by hacking in the account of a boss who was in the dark road. She made that boss belief that it is the killer who stole the money belong to him so that boss send people to kill him. Root always uses this way to destroy the person she doesn’t like.

In season 3, Root started being in the group of the Machine, due to the Machine gave her power to directly talk to it. (Reese has this power too, but Finch only can get the massage indirectly because when the Machine was reset he let Reese to get that power.) So, now they are all in the same group to fight with the other AI, and try to make the social go back to past age. 

Joss Carter

Joss Carter is a NYPD detective. She found there was always a man that everyone called him “suit guy” who can avoid the bad things happened. She began to survey and tries to arrest that “suit guy” because what he did is illegal even if he was doing good things to help people. After many events, Carter had contact to Reese and Finch, but they hadn’t cooperated yet. Until one time, Carter’s son was kidnapped by a terrible man. Reese and Finch tried hard to safe him and that let them won the trust from Carter. From then on, they started working into a team to help more and more people. 

They solved many things and even beat the police in corruption that made an organization named HR. HR used have big power in NYPD. They defeated HR but Carter was also killed by the member of it. Due to this accident, Reese and Finch loose a good friend and Reese was disappointed to the Machine that he thought it can never help the real good person so he leaves the team of Machine. 

John Reese

John Reese is an ex-CIA agent. In the past time, he worked for the government and even killed people for the government. He had a lover, but due to his mission, they two couldn’t be together. At the end, the girl married with other and John left to do the missions.

One time, after finishing the mission, the government tried to kill John and his partner because it thought that John and his partner knew too many things about the government’s secrets. With the help by his partner, John escaped successful.

After running from the government, John went back to look for his lover, but she was already died due to an accident. John was so angry and sad that he almost lose his control and began to indulge. At that moment, Harold found him and save him from keeping indulging. He told John that he want to save people from coming terrible thing and he needed John’s help. In order to prevent the bad thing which happened on his love may happen on someone else. John agreed to work with Harold and make the story begin.

Harold Finch

Harold Finch is a genius engineer. In the past time, he helped the government to detect the violence crime by building an AI whose name is Machine. He make the Machine see everything by watching people in computer, camera, phone and so on.

However, due to the government thought that the criminal between normal people is irrelevant, Harold’s coworker named Nathan decided to stop those terrible things happened by himself. Unluckily, Nathan’s actions were discovered by the government. Due to that government didn’t want to let other people know that Machine exists, they killed Nathan. Harold is so sad that he decided to do what Nathan did in the past time. 

He started to work in secrete to escape from the government’s hunting. And all in all, he needs a partner who has power to stop those bad thing happened, so he find an ex-CIA agent named John Reese to partner with him. And then, they start helping people and defeating the government, the hacker, the other AI at the same time.
